Federal Hiring Options and Using USAJOBS *SENATE STAFF ONLY*

The Senate Employment Office and Office of Training and Development have partnered to host two USAJOBS information sessions. The webinars will provide an overview of the federal hiring process, different hiring paths in the executive service, and tips on navigating the USAJOBS website. Staff from the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) will also be available to answer questions.

Early Career Opportunities at the U.S. Senate

This session is open to students (undergraduate, graduate, law) and recent graduates. Participants will learn about internship (intern, fellow, clerk) and early career (0-2 years post-graduate) opportunities with Senate Member and Committee offices and receive guidance on how to prepare, find, and apply to Senate jobs and internships.

This session is open to everyone, but was specifically designed for individuals seeking career opportunities in Senate Member or Committee offices. General guidance will be provided on how to prepare for your job search, find and apply to Senate staff positions, and access other resources for Senate job seekers.

This is a reminder to update your information in the Senate Resume Bank. You must resubmit the questionnaire every quarter, as prompted, to remain eligible for Senate referral. The quarter dates are as follows: Please read Resume Bank FAQs to learn more.

Individuals’ resumes will not be reviewed.
